Each page within this paint book comes with perforated edges so finished artwork can be easily removed and put on display.Photography and videography are allowed.Mobile phones must be on silent mode during the performance.Doors open 30mins before the show commence.Children/infants in arms below 2 years of age will not need a ticket.There will be no intermission in this performance.Join us for an evening of dance, storytelling and joy! Will Shen be able to escape the evil pirates or will she succumb to their wickedness? The pirate captain ordered Shen to paint a big tree with a hundred golden coins on each twig. News travelled to the evil pirates, and they captured Shen onto their pirate ship. Soon, her neighbours near and far were curious about the Magic Paintbrush and all rushed to Shen’s house to see the magic happen. Little does she know, that any painting painted by the Magic Paintbrush comes to life once it dries on paper. “Hush! We don’t want all the world to know about this magic brush.” The lady slips the brush into her hand and tells her to be sure never to paint for wealthy folk and only for the poor. The lady calls out to Shen and whispers to her “Come here”. Shen, a little girl from a poor village, met a mysterious lady while she was on the way to the market. ![]() The second part of the performance will be a full-length ballet, based on Julia Donaldson's "The Magic Paintbrush". The first section will feature classwork items and some competition variations. The performance will be made up of two sections. JBA is excited to return on stage again with dancers from as young as 5 years old to adult learners. ![]()
